Project three- ceramic experimentation based on sketch development

After doing some sketches of different ideas I felt the next best step would be to create some mock-ups. Using some existing artwork I was able to play with some different designs all really communicating the ideas of this project. 

The first was a mug design with a range of cacti. For this design felt it would be fun to add the different names, bringing in that traditional element. I like this idea and think it looks great. 

The second design is a dinner plate based off an existing design from the experimenting phase. I really like this design, specifically being the composition set off to the right as I feel this gives it overall a very different look. 

The third and finals plate was a development from one of the sketches and features the bird of paradise illustration from slightly earlier in the project. I do like this look however, the composition does feel off as though something is missing.
