Project three- flower sketch

After doing some further initial research I felt it would be great to do some further experimentation within the different styles of botanical illustration. Here shows a sketch based off of some observational drawings from one of the plants in the temperate greenhouse. I really like this sketch and feel it was fun to explore with different brushes mainly being pencil for added texture. It was fun to play around with linework in the background and keep that contrast between the fuller colours and simple sketch. 

Moving forward I feel this might be a style that I would like to experiment further within this project, as feel it has some of those traditional botanical look with some modern twists.
